ChiChi Restaurant & Hookah Bar was founded to serve the need for African cuisine and culture in Ottawa-Gattineau Region.
It is not always easy to find a great restaurant serving African cuisine where you live. Furthermore, if you live in Canada, it can be hard to find any. People are often intimidated by the exotic flavours, cooking methods, and preparation styles.
The ambiance of ChiChi is unbeatable. You can enjoy traditional African music while dining out or relax as you eat your dish while smoking from the restaurant’s own hookah lounge.

A recent study found that the majority of Canadians are interested in trying exotic and foreign food, like African cuisine, but lack the opportunity to do so.
Experience the culture and tastes of western Africa by dining at ChiChi Restaurant. With our menu that features traditional dishes like Jollof rice, white rice and stew, ChiChi Restaurant has become Ottawa’s favourite destination for authentic African food. It offers both traditional seating as well as individual hookahs for patrons who want to smoke shisha while enjoying their meal.
